Built to be usable

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Where we fall short we would rather hear about it than assume we have not.

What we have built in

  • A skip link to the main content, and a visible focus outline on every control.
  • Full keyboard operation of navigation, the product gallery, the ritual finder and every form.
  • Labelled form fields, with validation messages tied to the field they describe.
  • Meaningful alt text on product photography, describing the product rather than selling it.
  • Layouts tested at 360, 390, 768, 1024 and 1440 pixels wide, and at 200% zoom.
  • Status messages announced politely rather than only shown as a colour change.
  • Reduced motion respected: animation is switched off when your system asks for that.

Known limitations

  • Gold is used for fine decorative detail only, never as the sole carrier of meaning.
  • A full assistive-technology review has not been completed and is planned before launch.

Tell us about a barrier

If something here is difficult or impossible to use, please contact us and describe what happened and what you were using. We will fix what we can and tell you what we cannot.

Our reference is the W3C WCAG 2.2 standard.
