Hyaluronic acid
INCI: Sodium Hyaluronate, Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid and its salt form, sodium hyaluronate, bind water. In cosmetics they are used to hydrate the surface layers of the skin and to give lightweight products a smooth slip.
Different molecular sizes are used in formulation and behave differently on the skin. An ingredient list normally does not state which size has been used.
